WHY PREPARE?

Who was wiser...?

My father was born and raised in Walnut Creek just below San Francisco and witnessed the onslaught of the "Okie" migration from the Oklahoma Dust Bowl.

He shared stories of entire families living out of their cars, barely enough to eat...the same families that just a decade earlier had done very well financially on the very ground that turned into a living Hell for them in dust storms that choked people to death.
We HAVE to pay attention to history if we are to grow and survive in this world. These people had no idea their farming practices would devastate their lives. While the rest of the world looked on and shook their heads in sadness for them, the families had to adjust or die.

It was one area. California was doing fine as a matter of fact the entire West Coast was not affected and continued living as usual.

The question that always burned in my mind as I studied the history of the dust bowl has been who was wiser...the man who made the decision to adjust to the circumstances or the man who stayed and rode it out until things got better some ten years later?

I believe nothing stays the same. We'd love to find a prosperous niche and comfortably stay there but history proves that NEVER happens. So are you ready and prepared to adjust to circumstances that are coming your direction?

I'm not talking about panic and Y2K hysteria, I'm talking about creating optional plans and strategically maneuvering your family and finances to be able to move and adapt.

If you're the kind of person that would have packed and moved out when the dust storm was on the horizon...this blog is for you.
